So Atl looks to connect diverse young professionals

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, over 100+ young professionals will gather at Topgolf Atlanta Midtown for SO-ATL’s Inaugural Monthly Social & Day Party. 10% percent of earnings from So- ATL’s Day Party will be donated to a business owner or startup in attendance to further the advancement of the business community.

So ATL was created with the intent of providing an upscale social networking experience for young urban business professionals in Atlanta, GA. Offering a unique monthly day party that foster relationships, extends and builds your network of local allies, accelerate your professional development through interpersonal interactions al while partaking in food, drinks, golf, games and music that is guaranteed to keep you moving while you mingle a crowd as culturally diverse as it is sophisticated.

Atlanta has become the primary landing spot for career-driven people of color. The city has also become an incubator for entrepreneurs. If you’re an entrepreneur, networking is critical. In fact, one study states that networking is vital to the success of 78% startups. So why not have fun and network with like-minded individuals. According to Forbes, “Entrepreneurship is strong, with some 20% of the metro Atlanta area’s black working population is self-employed, the highest proportion in the nation”.

The event will be hosted by Jae Nash and Mike Clay. Nash has over a decade of experience in media and entertainment, she is currently an on-air personality for Atlanta’s V-103, “The People’s Station.” Known as a media maven, she is the creator and host of Girl Power Hour Radio syndicated on iHeart Radio, WMRO- Nashville and ClearOne Radio. Additionally, she is the curator of the Power Breakfast; which spotlights influential women, who are demonstrating leadership skills in their respective industries while making an impact in our community.

Clay has been developing marketing and promotional strategies for major brands and entertainment venues over 10 years. Some of his experience includes event curation for the cast and crew of the Marvel’s Black Panther and Avenger’s, Nappily Ever After and most recently Bad Boy’s 3 starring Will Smith. With a targeted focus on millennials and young professionals, he aims to create unique experiences that are innovative and exciting. His latest idea, GEO, is a weekly cocktail hour that features craft drinks and small bites for Atlanta influencers.
