Passion and Purpose are often used interchangeably, however they are different. Passion is about what you “like” or “love”, whereas Purpose is about why you exist. YOU must identify your “Personal Purpose Philosophy” in order to assess whether or not you feel that you’re living in your purpose.
If your “Personal Purpose Philosophy” encompasses the reason for which God designed you to exist, remember that your “purpose” should be about what God would like for you to do whether you love it or not.
Do you often question your purpose and whether you’re doing “those things” that make you “happy?” Perhaps you should rephrase the question and instead of assessing your purpose based on your wants, needs, desires, and conveniences, consult with God and look for the signs, listen for the hints, and evaluate the relationships that might give you the answer. Passion is self-pleasure and purpose is fulfilling the reason for which you exist which may not bring you personal pleasure at all! Examine why you exist, what you do, why you do it, and who you do it for!
The reason for which you exist MUST be fulfilled regardless of your finances, satisfaction in your relationships, and challenges that you might be encountering. Find your life’s meaning so that you’re not just going thru life’s motions.
“Above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.” -Unknown
