Emcor is acquiring a rival company in Georgia that maintains HVAC systems, plumbing and other mechanical elements of commercial buildings, adding $400 million in annual revenue.
Norwalk-based Emcor did not state immediately what it is paying for Batchelor & Kimball, which was founded 40 years ago and has its headquarters in Conyers, Ga. Prior to the acquisition, Emcor had projected revenue this year of at least $8.8 billion.
Batchelor & Kimball projects have included the $400 million installation of mechanical piping and systems for a 40-gate concourse at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and piping at the University of Georgia’s football stadium in Athens.
