During their appearance, they discussed their recent arrest at a Fire Drill Friday climate change protest led by Jane in Washington, D.C. Co-stars Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston also joined the conversation, and discussed getting arrested for engaging in civil disobedience, and Sam revealed what his family thought of the situation.

Later in the show, Jane and Lily sat in the hot seat to play “Ellen’s Burning Questions.”

Plus, Jane encouraged viewers to help bring awareness to the urgency of the climate crisis by participating in Fire Drill Fridays, inviting everyone to join her at the first Fire Drill Friday held in Los Angeles at City Hall on February 7 at 11 a.m. She urged anyone interested in starting a Fire Drill Friday in their city to text “JANE” to 877-877.
