How the MPAA is Diversifying Film Making
John Gibson, Senior Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Motion Picture Association of America sits down with Atlanta Business Journal to discuss how he and the MPAA are working to ensure that filmmakers from all cultures receive the same opportunity in the film industry. Gibson co-created the inclusion and multicultural outreach program with former MPAA CEO, former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd in 2012. Before then there had never been a diversity program in the MPAA’s 75-year history. Gibson also discusses how the MPAA is partnering with film festivals such as the American Black Film Festival and the Georgia Latino Film Festivals to help them engage with major motion picture studios.

John will be the Featured Keynote Speaker at the Georgia Minority Business Awards.
