A Carrie remake is in the works!
A limited series based on Stephen King‘s iconic novel is in the early stages of development, according to Collider.
The lead would reportedly be played by either a trans performer or an actress of color.
This would not be the first adaptation of the classic horror story.
Carrie was previously adapted into a film in 1976, starring Sissy Space, and 2013, starring Chloe Moretz. There also was a made for TV movie, as well as a short-lived Broadway musical in 1988.
There are no details on when the limited series would begin filming or be released.
