Area Students Combat Poverty in the Community on Work Ready Project Service Learning Day

Urban League of Greater Atlanta’s Urban Youth Empowerment (UYEP) – Work Ready program will host a Service Learning Day (SLD) on Friday, February 15, 2019. Students will distribute lunch, socks and toiletry items to Atlanta’s homeless population, as part of Feed the Streets community service learning project.

The Work Ready project has partnered with Red Nose Day Fund, a fundraising campaign devoted to ending poverty, has allowed the expansion of UYEP Work Ready Project, which provides high-school-age students with job-readiness skills, social and emotional support and academic preparedness.

The service learning project will be held at Evolution 1135 Jefferson Street NW Atlanta, GA 30318 from 12pm-2pm on Friday, February 15, 2019.
