September has been named Healthy Aging Month, by the Healthy Aging Magazine, and there will be a 3-mile hike held on Saturday at the Amicalola Falls State Park.

The park is an 829 acre Georgia State Park whose name is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning “tumbling waters.”

Departure for the race is at 8 a.m. at the Target parking lot on 2400 North Druid Hills Road; Atlanta, Ga. 30329. They car pool, and each rider is asked to donate $8-$10 for gas and the parking lot fee of $5.

It is expected to take about 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the trail head.

The National Black MBA Association presents its 10th annual professional development symposium with keynote speaker Hill Harper on Saturday in Atlanta at the Delta Airlines Training Center from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Harper, an award-winning actor, currently stars at Dr. Marcus Andrews on ABC’s “The Good Doctor”. He also headlines HLN’s “How It Really Happened with Hill Harper”.

Harper has won seven NAACP Image Awards for his writing and acting and is a four-time New York Times best-selling author.

Price depends on member, student member or non-member level. Bronze Registration (Range $25-$45) with breakfast, lunch, three career development workshops, learning roadmap and access to career fair. A DJ has been added who will play some of songs from Detroit as they prepare for thh 2018 NBMBAA Conference in Detroit Sept. 25-29.
